Topisaw Pottery: Maggie and Chris Stauder

Over the years Maggie “dabbled” in many art forms, and loved them all. When she discovered clay, Maggie knew she had found her niche. Throughout all her endeavors, Maggie has been drawn to nature’s colors, textures, and patterns with themes of leaves, water, trees, rocks, and sky. Maggie always loved the accomplished feeling of creating something from nothing. Creating a beautiful or functional piece of pottery from a chunk of mud fills that bill. Maggie’s husband, Chris, is her volunteer “apprentice” and they work together at their home on Topisaw Farm in Pike County, MS.
