Missy Carey

Gulf Shores based abstract artist, Missy Carey, has been honing her artistic skills since 2013. Originally an Interior Decorator from Tennessee, Missy blended her artistic abilities with her love for decorating, and created her dream career. Growing up in West Tennessee, she vacationed along the Gulf Coast most of her life. She always yearned for the beach, and finally made the permanent move to Gulf Shores in 2016.

Missy takes her inspiration from nature, particularly in the colors and creatures of the Gulf Coast. She finds great joy in colors, textures, and patterns that work together to inspire one-of-a-kind abstract art pieces. She uses many mediums including acrylic paints, textures, and alcohol inks to create paintings, hand-painted glassware, and unique Christmas ornaments.

Her art can be found in galleries along the Gulf Coast, as well as in the homes and offices of collectors across the United States.
