Bobby Walters
Watercolor Artist
I began painting at around age 15, with a lot of encouragement from my Mother. At age 17 she enrolled me in a class taught by Prof Charles Ambrose from our local university (The University of Southern Mississippi) The class met every Monday night during the school year for two years.
After graduation from high school, I enrolled in USM and continued classes under Prof. Ambrose . Collage was my first experience with watercolor and I loved the medium and have continued with it till this day. As for WHY do I PAINT? I don’t have some great ”psychological expose”as to WHY.
I paint because love it and other people love my work. Some of my happiest days are spent painting in my studio cabin on the banks of Black Creek deep in the woods of South Mississippi.
