“teaching the art and function of clay”
All of my life has been involved in some form of art, creating something with my hands. Art is like a symphony, all the different parts coming together to create something beautiful to be seen, or heard, or touched, but most of all enjoyed. This art journey of mine has brought me to a place that I absolutely love. I am not only creating pottery that is a beautiful form or art, but is art that can be used in our daily lives. Naw, as this symphony unfolds in my life it has led me to sharing this love and skill with my daughter and our students. They have become a part of the music. Learning to see things differently, and learning ways to incorporate new ideas from all areas of their life into their creations. We are teaching all they are learning “the art and function of clay”.
